Holiday destination dubbed the ‘cheaper Caribbean’ has affordable all-inclusive deals, short flights and 32C highs

AN COUNTRY just a few hours from the UK has been dubbed "Africa's affordable answer to the Caribbean" - and deals won't break the bank either.

Cape Verde has become one of the most sought-after destinations for Brits - probably thanks to the almost guaranteed sunshine and temperatures above 25C all year round.

The country is made up of ten islands in the central Atlantic Ocean, just off the coast of West Africa.

Out of those, Sal and Boa Vista are the two that draw the greatest number of tourists. They boast countless miles of sandy beaches, nightlife, and lots of cheap restaurants and activities.

Elsewhere, Santiago is the most populated island and home to the capital, Praia.

The best time to visit is between November and April when it's considered "dry season".

However, temperatures in Cape Verde rarely drop below 25C, even during the wet season and winter.

Average temperatures rest around 25C to 27C, reaching highs of 33C during the summer.

Although there will be a slightly higher chance of rain, September and October are an excellent time to bag some cheap deals.
