THERE'S a lesser-known holiday park in the UK that's minutes away from world-famous beaches and it has the largest outdoor pool in the county.
While most Brit holidaymakers will have heard of places like Center Parcs, Butlins, Haven and Parkdean, there are plenty of other smaller holiday parks dotted across the country.
One of those places is Monkey Tree Holiday Park in Newquay, Cornwall.
The family-run holiday park has been operating for more than 40 years.
Set in 56 acres of land in the Cornish countryside, Monkey Tree is close to some of Europe's finest beaches, including Perran Sands Beach, Perranporth Beach and Fistral Beach.

The heated leisure pool is described as the "centrepiece" of the holiday park thanks to its boardable pirate ship, water features and jacuzzi area.
There's also a Beach Bar nearby, which serves a range of drinks, snacks and hot food that guests can enjoy poolside.
Palm Bay isn't the only facility at the holiday park, there are also a host of others, including Castaway Cove, an adventure golf course.

Other facilities include The Art Deck, an arts and crafts station where younger guests can get creative, and Mini Monkeys, an undercover soft play area.
There's also an outdoor play area too and an all-weather sport court where guests can play football and basketball.
According to its , Monkey Tree has partnered with local businesses to secure discounted rates on experiences like surfing lessons on Perranporth Beach and coasteering in Newquay.
Monkey Tree puts on plenty of evening entertainment too, including bingo, live performances and an arcade.
There are a range of overnight accommodation options too, including holiday homes and pitches for tents and motorhomes.
Every holiday home has three bedrooms, which sleep a maximum of eight people, and a kitchen with a hob microwave, fridge and plenty of other cooking utensils.
The homes come equipped with a designated parking space and a private deck with barbeque facilities.
There's also an on-site supermarket where holidaymakers can purchase essential groceries.
Holidaymakers can also book to stay on a variety of tent pitches, including standard grass and other premium plots.
Just like the holiday homes, the tent pitches come with a designated parking space as well as full access to all the on-site facilities like the Palm Bay swimming pool, kids' club and play areas.
Pitches are allocated on arrival, with the option for friends and families to book adjoining plots.
Serviced grass pitches start from £73 and motorhome pitches are from £89.
Sun Online Travel have found a week-long stay from £460.67 for a family of four, costing just £16 per night per person.
Holiday Homes were a little pricier, with three-night stays in August costing £1029.00 - although this is for eight people.
The award-winning holiday park has received a 3.5/5 star rating from hundreds of reviews on TripAdvisor.
One person wrote: "We had a fantastic four nights at Monkey Tree! We honestly couldn’t have asked for better."
Another added: "A welcoming, enjoyable week camping, we were extremely happy with out stay."
Someone else said: "A lovely holiday park that's perfect for kids with a beautiful pool and playgrounds and entertainment. Toilets cleaned regularly and showers hot and powerful."

EARLIER this year, consumer watchdog Which? revealed the best holiday park in the UK.
The consumer champions surveyed more than 1,700 guests about their experiences, getting them to rate their stays on eleven different criteria.
They included quality of accommodation, customer service, cleanliness, facilities and activities, and value for money.
An overall score was then worked out for each resort, based on overall satisfaction and likeliness to recommend other people.
It turns out that Potters Resorts is the highest-rated among park-goers, with a customer score of 87 per cent.
