A BRAND-new £12m accommodation village has opened at Butlin's in Skegness, just in time for the May-half term holiday.
Families visiting this month will be the first to enjoy the 128 new luxury holiday lodges in the Maple Walk Village.

Each of the three-bedroom lodges includes a main bedroom, complete with a king-sized bed and en-suite shower room, and two twin rooms.
They also feature a large, fully equipped kitchen area, with full-sized fridge freezer, microwave and hob.
They all come with fast and reliable Wi-Fi as well, while outside, every lodge has private decking with outdoor furniture and parking space for two cars.
The £12million accommodation project will be available to guests on family breaks and Big Weekenders and is just a short walk to the heart of resort.

Guests staying in a premium lodge will have full access to everything the resort has to offer, including live entertainment and activities.
Maple Walk is the latest in a series of developments at the Skegness resort in the past 12 months.
The new lodges follow the £2.5m Skypark playground, with climbing towers, light up slides and the UK's longest seesaw.
The state-of-the-art playground is equipped with a wheelchair accessible trampoline, swings and walkways.

There’s also the recently renovated fairground with four new rides and competed works to the Studio 36 venue.

"The new Maple Walk village is a fantastic addition to our resort and early feedback from guests who have already stayed in one of our new lodges has been very positive.
“With new accommodation and entertainment facilities like our inclusive Skypark playground and new-look fairground opening just last year there’s plenty of reason for guests to visit our resort on holiday this year.”
Butlin’s offers a three-night summer holiday break, featuring The Masked Singer Live, in one of the new Premium Lodges that sleeps up to six people from £503 on 30 August 2024.
That price is based on a family of four sharing and includes all live shows and activities, unlimited fairground rides and access to Skypark playground.

When visiting any campsite this summer it's important to make sure you're not making simple mistakes that could ruin your holiday.
Check your tent
David recommends putting your tent up a couple of weeks before you're due to travel to give you enough time to repair or replace any damaged parts.
He told Sun Online Travel: “You’d be surprised how many people turn up with broken tents."
Test the ground
Picking a good spot to pitch your tent is difficult, with lots of things to consider.
One of those should be the condition of the ground you're putting your tent on top of, according to David.
He said: “Once you’ve found the perfect spot, test the ground with your pegs before you commit to camping there to make sure the ground is soft enough."
Don't nap in your tent
It may seem the perfect place for it, but a nap in a tent could end badly, if it's done at the wrong time of the day.
David explained: "If the sun’s shining and it’s hot inside your tent - don’t do it!
"One of our friends nodded off in his tent during a heatwave at Glastonbury and ended up at the medical tent with heatstroke."
Instead, he recommends finding some shade outside or somewhere well ventilated.
Dining packages start from £23.95 per adult, per day, £14.50 per child (6-14), per day and £6.80 per child (2-5).
Butlin's also has its eye on opening a brand new resort, by buying an old Pontins site.
Pontins Southport was forced to close back in January just days after it reopened for the new year.
Managing director of Butlin's, Jon Henry Pickup, said the company was interested in buying the abandoned park.
He told the : "We would definitely still be interested - we would definitely like a conversation with them.
"It is an existing site so there is no need to dig up the countryside."

Earlier this year, the park launched its first all-inclusive package deals which includes cocktails and other alcohol has well as drinks from the on-site Costa Coffee.
And Butlin's 2025 holidays are now on sale for as little as £13pp a night.
