Swim-up rooms are typically associated with tropical resorts, but they've also become more popular in short-haul destinations.

For instance, we spotted some swim-up rooms in Greece, Croatia, and Turkey.

However, if you're willing to travel further, you could also head to Thailand and Mexico.

An outdoor area connects the ground-floor rooms to the pool, so you can enter the water directly from your room at any time.

These rooms are great if you're after some privacy, too. You should have some space to tan as well, so you won't have to leave your room.
