That has resulted in them launching a , teasing their new attraction the Ghostly Manor, which will open inside the park's old 4D cinema.

The new interactive family-friendly ride will require guests to capture a number of ghosts that have escaped in the home of Dr. Kinley, "a renowned ghost hunter".

A slide from that presentation revealed exactly what guests can expect when Ghostly Manor opens next year.

It reads: "Ghostly Manor is our new immersive indoor attraction, set to open in May 2025.

"This thrilling ride follows the adventures of Dr. Kinley, a renowned ghost hunter.

"Currently, Dr. Kinley is in the North Pole on a quest to find the elusive 'Ice ghost!'

"In his absence, he has invited guests to explore his manor, which houses a unique exhibition of apparitions and haunted artefacts.

"However, during your visit, many of the ghosts that Dr. Kinley has captured over the years have escaped! He urgently needs your help to recapture them.

"Armed with the groundbreaking Phantom Phaser, you'll need to shoot the ghosts lurking throughout the manor to secure them once more.

"Keep an eye out for Ohjee-the most fearsome ghost in the manor. Recapturing him will require all your skill and teamwork!"

According to Attraction Source, Dr. Kinley is a "grey-haired, moustached adventurer in a brown leather jacket".

Although the ride promises to be spooke, a Paultons spokesperson told Sun Online Travel that it is still one that the whole family will be able to enjoy.

Use these tips on your next theme park trip

Next time you visit a theme park, you may want to use our top tips to make the most of your adrenaline-inducing day out.

  1. Go to the back of the theme park first. Rides at the front will have the longest queues as soon as it opens.
  2. Go on water rides in the middle of the day in the summer - this will cool you off when the sun is at its hottest.
  3. Download the park's app to track which rides have the shortest queues.
  4. Visit on your birthday, as some parks give out "birthday badges" that can get you freebies.
  5. If it rains, contact the park. Depending on how much it rained, you may get a free ticket to return.

They said: "While Dr Kinley will certainly bring some paranormal activity to Paultons Park, Ghostly Manor promises to be a high-quality, immersive experience that's suitable for all the family.

"As with everything we do at Paultons Park, every detail has been considered in the creation of this indoor attraction.

"We can't wait to share more about Ghostly Manor in due course. Watch this space!"

The news comes just after the weekend when the park's latest ride was unveiled to the public.

The Splash Lagoon is a Jurassic-themed flume ride which takes park-goers through meandering rapids before heading down a final drop into a 'prehistoric' lagoon.

The flume also introduces children to different species of dinosaurs as they make their way around.

A new family of moving, life-like, dinosaurs greeted visitors onto the brand-new ride as it opened for the first time last weekend.

Mancey described it as "a fantastic addition to the Lost Kingdom experience".

He added: "The detailing and theming around the new flume is in keeping with the Jurassic-theme and delivers a truly immersive adventure.

“Splash Lagoon is great fun for junior riders and balances the thrill and excitement that rides such as our suspended dinosaur coaster, Flight of the Pterosaur, offers for older children and adults."

The park is considered the best value in the UK, according to a study published last year and Michael Dean from .

He told Sun Online Travel: "n Hampshire's New Forest is the best theme park in terms of value for money, with entry from £68.75 for a family of 5 if you book ahead.

"The queues are usually short, which means you can get on many rides in one day, and the food is also a reasonable price too."
