The country is the birthplace of Budweiser and Pilsner, which means you can find a number of brewery tours.

New last year was the immersive beer experience Pilsner: The Original Beer Experience.

The Sun's Mark Hodge said when he recently visited: "It’s really no surprise the beer is so cheap here, considering it’s the country’s most famous export.

"And the city’s biggest asset is its architecture, which managed to survive the carpet bombing that wrecked so many historic buildings in World War Two.

"The standout for me was the 9th-century Prague Castle, which is the largest old castle in the world, covering 750,000 square feet."

"Star of the show is the City Of Arts And Sciences — a £760million spaceship-like mega-complex, which took a decade to build.

" And if you’re looking for a budget night, head to La Finestra. Everyone comes for the cheap beers and mini pizzas (€2.50)."

The Sun's Head of Travel Lisa Minot recently said: "As well as loads of restaurants and bars in picturesque settings, there are ten miles of beach so you will never be fighting for a place to plonk your towel.

"With minimal effort on e-bikes from Miramar beach you can explore the coast at leisure and find perhaps a whole cove to yourself.

DFDS explained in the research: "We’ve analysed 70 European cities, 8,000 bars and pubs, scoured social media and scanned over 40,000 reviews to determine the best cities for beer.

"The results are based on beer quality, price, social media buzz, and the character of bars and pubs, combined to award a score out of 100.

"Underdogs Spain and the Czech Republic top the ranking, whilst Germany and Belgium, which are globally renowned for their beer, find themselves in spot seven and nine.
