The airline will add two new daily flights from London Heathrow to Barcelona El Prat - one of Vueling's main hubs.

Flights will operate every day, with prices starting from £31.48 for a one-way ticket.

Vueling's current route between London Gatwick and Barcelona El Prat will continue to operate as usual.

There are plenty of things to do in the Spanish city too, including admiring some of Antoni Gaudi's impressive architecture.

The world-famous Sagrada Familia, Park Guell and Casa Batllo are all within a few kilometres of each other.

Other tourist attractions in Barcelona include La Rambla, the famous La Boqueria food market and the Gothic Quarter.

The budget airline will also be launching a brand-new route, which is not currently operated by any other carrier.

From April, Vueling will fly directly from London Heathrow to Paris Orly, with the new route being introduced just in time for the Paris Olympics.

In addition to the French capital's summer of sport, there are plenty of other tourist spots in the city, including the Eiffel Tower, Montmartre Hill and the stunning Sacre Coeur Basilica.

There's also the Champs-Elysees and L’Arc de Triomphe, one of France’s most famous war monuments.

Flights will operate daily between London Heathrow and Paris Orly, with prices starting from £35.96 for a one-way ticket.

Both routes will take to the skies from April 7, 2024, with tickets on sale now.

Carolyn Prowse, Chief Commercial, Customer, Network and Strategy Officer at Vueling, said: "We are delighted to relaunch operations from London Heathrow, UK’s largest airport.

"These two new routes are in addition to our existing operation from London Gatwick and position Vueling as one of the key airlines connecting these major hubs across Europe."

Vueling isn't the only airline to launch new routes across Europe in 2024.

Earlier this year, Jet2 confirmed that a new route will operate between Manchester Airport and Porto.

Meanwhile, British Airways will be resuming flights from London Stansted for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic.

The flag carrier has confirmed three new routes will depart from the London airport, with prices starting at £36 for a one-way ticket.

Budget airline Ryanair is launching flights to SpainPortugal, and Malta, from Norwich Airport.

As it stands, the airport only serves a handful of foreign destinations, which means the Ryanair expansion is great news for holidaymakers in East Anglia.

The flights will run on both Mondays and Fridays, according to the aviation website .

Ryanair is also launching flights from Cornwall Airport and Cardiff Airport, with new routes to Paris and Faro among some of those announced.
