Inside the tallest hotel in Europe – with on-site club & rooftop bar overlooking Brit-loved beach
Guests wanting the best view can head to the 52nd floor
IF you’re not scared of heights, then a trip to Benidorm should be on the cards.
The Spanish resort is home to the tallest hotel in Europe – and it overlooks the popular sandy strip.
Gran Hotel Bali, a 4* resort, has 700 rooms across the 52 floors, ranging from double and triple rooms to family rooms and suites.
Brave guests can take the glass lift to the top too.
Most guests will head straight to the rooftop bar Sky Bar, or the Skydeck on floor 43 for panoramic views of Benidorm, although it’s advised to make a reservation as it gets busy.
Otherwise there are three outdoor pools to choose from (as well as an indoor pool at the spa), along with a pool bar serving boozy drinks.
Also at the hotel is the ground floor nightclub Bali Cotton Club and ice cream parlour, along with a lobby bar and buffet breakfast.
It’s great for kids too, with the indoor soft play Bali Park.
Rooms can be found for £55 a night, or On The Beach has four night stays for just £281pp, with return flights.
Anyone wanting to visit on a stag or hen do will be turned away, and groups of more than 10 people will have to let the hotel known in advance.
The hotel is also in a quieter part of Benidorm called La Cala, for those not wanting a party on their door step.
Thankfully, the beach is a short walk away, and the beaches are just a short taxi journey from the hotel.
One previous guest wrote: “I have been staying at the Gran Hotel Bali for 10 years.
“I previously lived and worked in Benidorm and always prefer this quieter area.”
Another wrote: “We were blown away with how lovely this hotel looked when we walked in.”
A third agreed: “We asked for a high floor with sea views and were not disappointed [with] 39th floor in the tower.”
One man said he had been visiting for “five years and couldn’t fault a thing”.
