A BRAND new five-day steam train holiday is due to set off across the UK later this year, with guests on board taken along some of the most scenic rail routes in the country.
Passengers on the "trip of a lifetime" will have breakfast and hotels stays included in the price of their trip, that takes in two capital cities, as well as extensive stretches of countryside and a national park.
Last year, the Steam Dreams Rail Co, announced its new four-night holiday, which promises "steam travel in atmospheric vintage carriages with beautiful countryside, fascinating destinations, hand-picked hotels and outstanding food and wine".
The five-day trip will depart from London Paddington through the most scenic lines of Wales.
That will include the iconic Heart of Wales Line, an exclusive route rarely available to railway charters, to breath-taking Snowdonia.
Guests will spend two days and three nights in the national park among its valleys, peaks and heritage.

That is then followed by an overnight stay in Cardiff before a return to London.
In special dining cars, guests will have the option to experience a menu put together by Executive Chef, Nicholas Allen.
The meals will all be inspired by the route the journey traverses and crafted from the finest, locally sourced seasonal produce.
Steam Dreams claims: "Pullman Dining is the epitome of refined indulgence, where a sumptuous culinary experience unfolds amidst opulent surroundings.
