Five fan-favourite events happening at top UK theme parks this February half term

One theme park will have animatronic dinosaurs

THE February half-term is inching ever closer, and there are plenty of family-friendly activities set to take place across the UK.

To help you out, we've rounded up a selection of child-friendly events taking place at UK theme parks in the half term.

From Legoland to Paultons Park - here is everything you need to know.

Legoland

Legoland Windsor has confirmed that its Brick Days are returning to the theme park on select dates in February and March.

Running from February 10, 2024, to March 11, 2024, events including brick-building activities and build challenges will be taking place at the park.

Parkgoers will also be able to watch a Brick Factory show at the Miniland Stage.

In addition to the brick-themed events, visitors will also have access to over 30 rides, attractions and other experiences at the Windsor theme park.

Day tickets for Brick Days start from £35pp, with children under 0.9 metres going free.

Alton Towers

Alton Towers has confirmed that its Pirate Takeover is returning to the park next month.

Running from February 10 to February 25, new events include the Battle Galleons Seadog Starkey’s Sailing School and A Treasure Chest of Entertainment & Shows.

Little ones will board a galleon, set sail over the high seas, and have to battle the pirates eager to capture the same treasure they seek.

Meanwhile, Captain Black’s crew will wander the park, recruiting members to join their mission.

The new event will also see never-before-seen shows and performances.

Day tickets to the theme park and Pirate Takeover event start , while short breaks are available  during the half-term.

Drayton Manor

Running from February 10, 2024, to February 20, 2024, Drayton Manor will be home to a Dinosaur Breakout event.

Parkgoers will be invited to step into the "dino-verse" on a pre-historic expedition at the theme park.

The park's rangers will be asking little ones for their help to return the animatronic dinosaurs to their rightful habitats.

Visitors will also be able to explore Europe's only Thomas Land, as well as the theme park's 15-acre zoo.

Day tickets to the Dinosaur Breakout event start from £15pp, with children under 23 months going free.

Paultons Park

Paultons Park has confirmed that its Paultons Break sessions are returning to the park from next month.

The breaks will be running from February 10, 2024, and visitors will be able to explore Peppa Pig World.

Guests will find Grampy Rabbit's Sailing Club, The Queen's Flying Coach, Grandpa Pig's Little Train, and Peppa's Big Balloon in the Peppa Pig World.

Kids can also enjoy play areas, as well as meet and greets with Peppa Pig and George Pig.

Peppa Pig World isn't the only attraction at Paultons Park, as there's also Tornado Spring, a world set in a midwest desert resort town in the 1950s.

Other themed worlds include the Lost Kingdom, Critter Creek, and Little Africa.

Half term breaks at Paultons Park start from £288 for two adults and two children.

Chessington

Parkgoers to Chessington this half-term will be able to listen to expert talks from zookeepers and wander through the theme park's animal trail.

Meanwhile, a huge UK attraction will let kids go free during half term in a boost to cash-strapped families.

Alton Towers has February half-term overnight stays from £48.50pp, with park entry, waterpark and a free breakfast.
