Wetherspoons is launching at top UK holiday park chain in time for summer

A HAVEN resort is set to open the first ever Wetherspoons at a holiday park this spring.

Haven Primrose Valley Holiday Park, in North Yorkshire, confirmed the collaboration with the much-loved UK pub.

Wetherspoons, which currently has 830 pubs in the UK, will open the new pub in March, although it remains unnamed.

Inside will have "all the hallmarks of a beloved Wetherspoons" with 250 seats and menu options including salads and pub classics.

Guests can make the most of the pub garden in the summer months, overlooking the holiday park grounds.

The £1.1million site is part of Haven's huge £4million investment into it's food and drink at the parks.

The deal will make Haven the "first and only holiday park operator" to launch a Wetherspoons.

Haven's Chief Operating Officer Peter Blake said: "We are thrilled to be the first holiday provider to partner with one of the UK's leading and much-loved pub operators. 

"This new venture underlines our dedication to growing our food and beverage partnerships and offering for our holidaymakers and holiday home owners."

JD Wetherspoon's commercial director Michael Barron added: "We are delighted to be partnering with Haven and are confident that the pub will prove popular with holidaymakers."

Wetherspoons is the 7th food and drink brand to partner with Haven, which also include Burger King and Papa Johns.

Haven holidays are popular with families looking for a bargain with breaks costing as little as £3pp a night.

And the Wetherspoons isn't the only new addition to the Haven parks.

The revamped Haven Kent Coast resort opened last August following a huge renovation.

This includes a new Marina Bar and stage, Yacht Club entertainment venue and huge new adventure village.

And Haven opened a brand new holiday park in Skegness last summer too.

Formerly Richmond Holiday Centre, the Haven rebrand included NERF training camps, new restaurants and a heated swimming pool.
