Have a bargain Lincolnshire break with Hols from £9.50 for floating cocktail bars and beachfront theme parks

The Medieval Wall Walk offers impressive views of the city below

SWATHES of rolling hills and unspoilt landscape with winding streams running through it are what make the Lincolnshire Wolds an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

And you won’t have to put your hand in your pocket to explore this lush patch in countryside either.

In the city of Lincoln, a mighty castle watches over cobbled streets and timber houses. Entry to the castle costs £40.50 (see lincolncastle.com) for two adults and up to three kids and it really does bring history to life for youngsters with interactive installations.

You can also walk around the entire fortress on the Medieval Wall Walk that offers impressive views of the city below.

When you feel peckish, head to Rising Cafe () in the city centre which not only serves delicious grub, it’s also a charity.

All of the earnings go towards helping the homeless or those leaving prison and for just over a tenner you’ll dine on juicy burgers or mac and cheese toasties with crisps and a salad for £7.50.
