The £75million water attraction set to open in the UK with huge lagoon, skatepark and bar
A HUGE water attraction is coming to the UK - with a huge lagoon and even a manmade beach.
Modern Surf Manchester is set to open in the UK city near Trafford Park.
Planning permission was given back in 2021, with hopes to open by January 2024.
However, this has been delayed, with hopes to now open by 2025.
The main attraction will be the two-hectare lagoon, which will create artificial waves using leading technology by Wavegarden for surfers of all skill levels.
A long pier would split the pools in the middle, allowing guests to watch from there.

Also-onsite will be a clubhouse with a bar, as well as a restaurant, viewing platforms and shops.
Guests will be able to use the changing facilities on-site, with other activities along with surfing including skateboarding and bouldering.
Behind the resort is Leslie Jones Architecture, which states on the website: "Modern Surf encourages people of all abilities to experience the joy of surfing and all its health benefits, both physical and mental.
"Visitors can explore the site, including unique competition-level spaces for skateboarding and bouldering."

Director Nick Strachan added: "The evidence is clear – being in and near water boosts our mental and physical wellbeing.
"Modern Surf is bringing these benefits to Trafford, as well as creating a venue which could potentially produce a future Olympic gold medallist.”
Modern Surf Manchester is part of a huge £2.6billion renovaiton project of the TraffordCity complex.
Also included in this project is the long-awaited Therme Manchester.
The £250million resort, first announced back in 2020, will be a massive 28-acre attraction with 25 swimming pools, 35 water slides and even an indoor beach.
A large spa area, wellness garden, swim up bar and restaurants will also be on-site, with it hoping to open by 2025.
Similar to Modern Surf Manchester is The Cove Resort, a £75million attraction set to open in Southport.
The £75million project, first announced back in 2020, will also have a surf lagoon, along with a beach, spa and four-star hotel.
