World’s best waterpark is in Tenerife & it’s open all year round with 22C highs – even in winter

THE ‘best waterpark in the world’ is in Tenerife, so only a few hours away from the UK.

What makes it even better is the park is open all day, all year round. And with highs of 22C during winter, it makes for an excellent family-friendly winter sun break.

Since its opening in 2008, has been voted ‘best in the world’ for nine consecutive years.

It has an optimal location, too, as it’s situated in Costa Adeje, one of Tenerife’s busiest spots.

Jane McDonald even visited it in her new Canary Islands travel show on Channel 5 this year.

Despite being a top choice in summer, plenty of deals are available even during winter, as the average temperature is 22C.

There is an average of six hours of sunshine and a low chance of rain, so waterparks are still fair game.

The park is open from 10am to 5pm in winter, so there’s plenty of time to enjoy the rides.

The park is home to the world’s longest lazy river, with more than 30 slides and rides.

‘Mai Thai River’ has 40 minutes of relaxed floating with some surprises like waterfalls.

Meanwhile, Kinnaree is the ‘second-best waterslide in Europe’ and is excellent for thrill-seekers with its extreme curves.

Those looking to test their bravery will have to try the almost vertical ‘Tower of Power’ reaching up to 50mph.

‘Singha’ also claims to be one of the fastest waterslides in the world, with a ‘superfast descent’ and 180-degree high-speed curves.

Families looking for something less intense should head to ‘The Lost City’,’ which includes 15 water slides, kid-friendly towers, waterfalls and the only baby-friendly pool on the Canary Islands.
