She made a cup holder out of the roll on her tray table, so that she could have her son's drink on there as well as her own, while he used his own table for playing.

A snack holder was also fashioned using the tape so her son had access to his own food when he got hungry.

Furthermore, she also used it to teach her kids how to count and how to make letters, as well as to make a race track for her toddlers to play with at their hotel.

Plenty of Nichola's 32,000 followers were very impressed with the hack, saying they'd try it out themselves in the future.

Another mum named Ayelet shared a video of her children ripping the tape off plane windows during a flight, suggesting it's an effective tool for keeping them entertained.

Ayelet said she doesn't bring any other toys for her son whenever they go on holiday.

She wrote on her blog: "We brought zero toys. My reasoning was we are going to be so active while on the trip we wouldn’t have much time to play with them.

"The tape is easy to pack and provides so much entertainment. We put pieces on the wall and window on the plane and he peeled them off. Repeat."
