The park is home to one of the biggest snowparks in Europe, while also offering the slopes of Alpe d’Huez, a ski resort set in a mountain pasture.

That doesn't mean visitors have to be experienced skiers, however, with other snow-related activities also available, including bum-boarding and walking trails among the stunning landscapes.

The park is also located just a 10 minute drive from the Alpine town of Allemond, at the base of Alpe d’Huez.

It has lakes, hiking routes and restaurants with high scores on TripAdvisor, making it a good option for a day trip away from the park.

However, those who wish to stay close to their accommodation have a lot to enjoy too.

Le Belledonne promises to have something for the whole family to enjoy.

They can warm up after a day in the snow with a visit to the sauna steam room, followed by warming cocktails at the on-site bar.

They can also enjoy a meal at the park’s authentic Alpine restaurant, after which, they can retire for a good night's sleep in the fully insulated three bedroom static caravans on site.

Eurocamp promises that the accommodation is both "inviting and snug" for those worried about the cold.

Although a static caravan might not sound like an ideal place to stay in the winter, each of the cabins are equipped with heating in all rooms, to ensure guests don't feel the chill.

As well as that, there's private decking to enjoy a glass of mulled wine and watch the stars as night falls.

In addition to the bedrooms and the deck, the static homes also come with "a good sized living area".

Families can book a holiday in the resort from £784 per party, including seven nights in a Comfort XL holiday home.

Visitors will have to buy their own lift passes and equipment rental in the ski resorts, which aren't included in the price of the resort.

Eurocamp said: "Le Belledonne is one of our best-loved campsites.

"Compact, friendly and convivial, it’s the perfect base for explorations into the snowy peaks that make for its magnificent backdrop.

"We’re offering you the chance to experience all the fun of the slopes without it costing the earth."
