I’m travelling the world for a year – here are the 5 ways to pack like a pro
A WOMAN who is travelling the world for a year has revealed five ways to pack like a pro.
Kim Davis is touring Europe, Japan and the US for a year - and says she is "as prepared as a Girl Scout".
She shared her top tips about how to make space for all your essentials.
First, Kim said that you should be careful about how you arrange the items in your case.
Writing in , she said: "Always pack the heaviest items at the bottom of the bag where the wheels are.
"When you tilt the bag upright, it won’t crush the other items or throw off the weight distribution of the bag."

Second, Kim said that you should wrap anything containing liquid or dirt in a leak-proof bag to avoid messy spillages.
Her third tip is a "go to" for packing fragile souvenirs you pick up on your travels.
Kim said: "Anything fragile gets packed in the center of the bag and wrapped in clothes or other soft material as well as sealable plastic bags.
"When in doubt, wrap everything in plastic."

Fourth, do not pack anything with sentimental value in checked luggage.
Kim's final tip was inspired by a "fatal mistake" she made on a trip to Scandinavia.
She said: "Always pack at least one full outfit (undergarments and all) and all your necessities in your carry-on.
"I made this fatal mistake once, and never again. My luggage was lost on a trip to Sweden.
"I was left with no makeup, no dainties, no toothbrush, and no clothes to wear."
