First look at brand new Disneyland Hotel after two-year ‘royal renovation’- with princess suites & meals with Mickey

DISNEYLAND PARIS has revealed brand new plans for its Disneyland Hotel, following a two-year "royal renovation" which will open its doors to guests next year.

The resort has been turned into a "fairy tale kingdom fit for beloved Disney Princesses and Princes" with 487 bedrooms and suites, and promises to take guests on "a royal journey".

It will do that with unique Disney entertainment and brand new experiences, available only to guests, with an opening date of January 25, 2024.

The aim of the renovation is to "make children feel like they are the little queens and kings" through "refined, storytelling décor and magical touches that will surprise and delight the whole family".

Disney royal classics like Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty, and more recent hits like Frozen and Tangled, are all celebrated in the new designs.

Disney characters will be present throughout the hotel, offering immersive experiences for those staying, including special mealtimes and opportunities to interact, through story-telling or even songs.

One of the main places guests can enjoy those experiences will be the new banquet hall, where special meals with Mickey and Minnie Mouse will be hosted.

The pair will be clad in all new costumes, designed especially for the new hotel.

There will also be a troupe of actors putting on a new show called "La Troupe Royale Disney" which has also been created especially for the resort.

These actors will be engaging guests in the lobby and other areas of the hotel in Disney stories, with guests taking part in the performances as characters, or simply joining in with a singalong.

Another place favourite characters can be found hanging out in the hotel will be the table service restaurant, La Table de Lumiere.

The restaurant has been inspired by the ballroom from Beauty and the Beast and guests will have the chance meet different royal Disney couples, who will be joining them for dinner.

When they're not hanging out with the characters, kids will have the opportunity to transform themselves into their favourite Disney personalities.

They will do this in a professional studio where they can choose from a menu of styles, costumes, accessories and hairstyles, before being handed a picture at the end, keeping memories of their transformation.

Meanwhile, the Royal Kids Club has been reinvented as a "magical and interactive library", where kids can unlock Disney stories by using augmented reality.

There are other surprises available for children in the rooms and suites too, with a series of bedtime stories available and specific kids amenities in their bathrooms.

The bedrooms will celebrate 11 different Disney stories, while 16 signature suites celebrating five Disney stories will also be available.

Included in those are two 'princely' suites, one inspired by Beauty and the Beast, and the Royal Suite Frozen, which is the biggest and most exclusive suite in the hotel, inspired by Elsa creating the ice castle in the film.

Elsewhere, the Castle Club will reopen as "a hotel within a hotel" with each of the 41 rooms and 18 suites on the two top floors accessed by private check-in desks and private elevators.

There will also be special dedicated lounges for guests in Castle Club rooms, where they can have breakfast with their favourite Disney princes and princesses.

The refurbishment has also added extra lounges and bars, a brand new swimming pool and a lobby, complete with a chandelier featuring the Sleeping Beauty castle in the middle of it.
