The little-known airline launching hundreds of new flights from the UK to Turkey next year
A LITTLE-KNOWN airline is launching hundreds of new flights between the UK and Turkey for next summer.
Brit holidaymakers can already start looking forward to next summer, with extra seats being added to two destinations in Turkey.
Corendon Airlines, a Turkish-based airline, will be adding new services from several UK airports to Dalaman and Antalya.
According to , the news was announced after the airline reported strong sales for 2024.
By next year, the airline will operate 27 flights per week between the UK and Turkey.
Flights will operate from airports like London Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, Bristol, and Glasgow,
Corendon Airlines has already placed 300,000 seats on sale for summer 2024.
The airline’s commercial director, Mine Aslan, said: “Dalaman has proved extremely popular with the UK market over the last few years, and we anticipate good demand for the destination in 2024.”
Corendon Airlines was first formed in 2004, and launched its first flight one year later.
The airline has since carried six million passengers a year to and from tourist hotspots in Europe.
But this isn’t the only operator who is already thinking ahead to next summer.
Earlier this year, holiday operator Jet2 announced it was launching hundreds of new flights from Liverpool’s John Lennon Airport.
The new programme includes seven exclusive routes from Liverpool to Gran Canaria, Menorca, Rhodes, Zante, Madeira, Paphos, and Bourgas, Bulgaria.
The flights will start on March 28, 2024, but more than 500,000 seats are already on sale.
Meanwhile, a UK airline that went into administration six years ago is set to return.
Monarch Airlines could soon relaunch flights from the UK, as well as holiday packages.
Budget airline PLAY launched last year, with cheap UK-US flights taking the place of WOW Air which went bust in 2019.
And Global Airlines is set to launch cheap transatlantic flights between the UK and the US.
