Inside the beautiful Wetherspoons people say is a ‘work of art’ – and it’s just had a £1million renovation
A WETHERSPOONS pub in the UK has been praised for looking like a "work of art" - and it's just had a huge renovation.
Many of the UK Wetherspoons pubs are built inside stunning old buildings, such as former ballrooms or pavilions.
The Palladium in Llandudno, in North Wales, is another beautiful Wetherspoons, which used to be a cinema.
It first opened to the public back in the 1920s, with a lot of the original features remaining in the pub today.
The ornate interior featured seating on three floors, including stalls, dress circle and balcony, before being used as a theatre and music hall.
It was then used as a bingo hall and a 336-seat cinema in the 1970s before closing in 1999.

Now a Grade II listed building, Wetherspoons opened the pub in 2001.
And it has recently undergone a huge £1million restoration project.
"The work has ensured that the pub is safe, whilst also ensuring the preservation and restoration of this beautiful heritage ceiling so that many people can appreciate it for years to come."
And guests of the Wetherspoons have raved about the pub on TripAdvisor.
One former punter said: "The recently fully renovated restaurant is a work of art.
"The interior is wonderful, still retaining the original seating in the circle and upper circle."
Another said: "Wow just wow was not expected that, can't believe how nice this place is, good cheap drinks in an amazing setting."
And someone said it had one of the "best breakfasts in Llandudno."
