A BEACH in the UK has been used as a backdrop for a hit TV show on Netflix.
The UK has some great beaches, including Durdle Door.
Set on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset, holidaymakers usually flock to Durdle Door between June and August.
But earlier this week, potential plans were disrupted when the beach was closed for filming for two days.
As reported by the , the second season of The Sandman was being shot at the holiday hotspot.
The Sandman follows the character Morpheus (the Lord of Dreams) on his quest to regain his power after he was imprisoned for more than 100 years.

In several pictures, actor Tom Sturridge, who plays Morpheus, can be seen walking across the shingle beach in a set of black billowing robes.
Meanwhile, in other photos, he is also joined by another actor who is filming in a set of white robes.
While Durdle Door may be a popular holiday hotspot, it's also a well-used filming location within the TV industry.
In recent years, TV shows like Doctor Who and Far From the Madding Crowd have also been filmed on the beach.

The beach has also welcomed the likes of Hollywood when it was used as the backdrop for Pirates of the Caribbean.
And some holidaymakers can't help but recreate some scenes when they visit the popular beach too.
TikTok user Casey Shields () posted a video of herself and some friends appearing to run like Captain Jack Sparrow.
One person wrote: "I love this."
But the Dorest beach doesn't need any more claims to fame, as it's also been likened to the Algarve.
In recent years, day-trippers have taken to TripAdvisor to rave about the similarities between the two destinations.
One person wrote: "Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door: Reminded me of the Algarve in Portugal!"
While another added: "The rocks protruding out of the sea were so pretty you would forget you're still in England and reminded me of a trip to Portugal."
The famous beach is a three-hour drive from London, but it's less than an hour's drive from neighbouring coastal towns like Bournemouth and Weymouth.
The UK landmark can also be reached on a direct train from London Waterloo to Wool train station.
We've found return tickets for £35.50 for a full-paying adult with journey times taking 2 hours and 35 minutes.
From Wool train station, visitors will need to take a 13-minute taxi ride to Durdle Door.
Holidaymakers will need to walk down a steep downhill path as well as a further 143 stone steps before arriving at the beach.
Barbeques and firepits are not permitted on this shingle beach, so it's best to bring enough food and drink for the entire day.
There are also no toilets on the beach, but day-trippers can use the loos at Durdle Door Holiday Park, which is 15 minutes away from the beach.
Visitors can also book to stay at the holiday park, which has a range of accommodation options including cabins and places to pitch tents.
A family of four can book a one-night stay in a tent for £25 or just £6.25 per person.
Two other beaches, Lulworth Cove and Man O'War Beach, are also a stone's throw away from Durdle Door.
And this isn't the only UK beach that's been used as a filming location.
Freshwater West Beach in Pembrokeshire in Wales was used as a filming location for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
The beach was a backdrop for Shell Cottage - the home of Ron Weasley's older brother Bill and his wife Fleur.
