A SEASIDE town in the UK is home to the best B&B in the world
Scarborough was recently voted the best place to retire in the UK.

It's also known as the coastal gem of Yorkshire, with a huge castle and speedy train links to York and Leeds.
It’s also highly favoured for its affordability - with average house prices at £263,704, according to Hunters Estate Agents - who earlier this year awarded the coastal town as across the country.
Even more impressively, Scarborough is home to the world’s best B&B, The Toulson Court.
The family-owned hotel came up trumps in the B&B accommodation category in TripAdvisor’s latest poll, which analyses TripAdvisor review data from over 1.5 million hotels across the globe.

Holding on to the title for three consecutive years, the 5-star TripAdvisor-rated guesthouse is a mere five-minute walk from the beach and is known for offering guests a “real home from home” experience.
Outside of sleeping and eating, there are two beaches: South Bay Beach and North Bay Beach, both of which have been welcoming holidaymakers to their shores for over 400 years.
In recent years, the North Bay has been compared to Brighton Beach in Australia because of its colourful beach huts and expanse of sand.

The British huts can be rented out by holidaymakers for £80 per day in the summer.
The long, sandy shores are also teeming with surfers, paddleboarders and swimmers year-round, offering something for more active holidaymakers.
There's plenty for families to do within a stone's skim of the sea too, including North Bay Railway (a miniature railway), Scarborough Open Air Theatre and Scarborough Sea Life Centre.
For tourists who want more to do than spend a day sunbathing, the commercialised South Bay Beach is a 20-minute walk or a short bus ride along the Victorian promenade.
As for South Bay Beach, this sandy stretch of coastline is where holidaymakers can find traditional fish and chips, old-school amusement cafes, and stalls selling cockles and traditional seaside sweets.
There’s also a big wheel, donkey rides and Scarborough Spa - an entertainment venue that houses a theatre with an ocean view.
From here, holidaymakers can also book to ride on the Hispaniola Pirate Ship for just £3 per ticket - and you may even spot dolphins and porpoises in the water if you're there at the right time of year.
The ruins of Scarborough Castle overlook both of the beaches, and offer visitors the chance to appreciate the significance of this iconic landmark perched upon the cliffs, guarding the town below.
