The yacht of the future has landed…and it looks like aliens might have come with it

Unidentified Floating Object boasts four bedrooms, a sun deck, and a view below the sea

How’s your yacht looking these days? If it’s anything like ours, you might be thinking of upgrading.

Luckily we’ve had a sneak peek at the boats of the future and they look fabulous. Behold, the UFO-2:

It is the second prototype by Italian company Jet Capsule, and features solar panels plus wind and water turbines for power. In theory, that means it will be able to run almost endlessly without having to refuel.

Unfortunately they will almost certainly cost more than a house. A big one.

But they are worth selling up for though. You could live very comfortably at sea, much like a Bond villain plotting his next evil deed.

And while it may look as though a UFO has crash landed in the sea, they do pack in four bedrooms , a sunbathing terrace, kitchen and underwater views.

You won’t be breaking any speed records, however. The eco-friendly power source means maximum speed is a stately nine knots – around 10mph.
But we think the point of this one is staying still and looking cool, not trying to race the Atlantic. Perhaps it’s not so suited to a Bond villain after all.
