Freshwater West is arguably best well-known as a filming location for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

The beach was used as a backdrop for Shell Cottage - the home of Ron Weasley's older brother Bill and his wife Fleur.

While the fictional cottage is meant to be set in the Tinworth in Cornwall, Freshwater West pipped it to the post.

Despite a cottage being constructed for the film, it was taken down after filming ended.

While fans can still walk in Harry Potter's footsteps, there's another attraction that film fans drive hundreds of miles to see.

Dobby's Grave can be found on a sand dune on the beach.

For those who don't know, Dobby was a house elf who died in JK Rowling's final book to protect Harry Potter from a band of death eaters.

The site has become a firm favourite among fans who lay down decorated stones on his grave.

TikTok user, Laurie, who is known as LaurieAlyceAdventures on the social media platform, revealed that she drove 230 miles to visit Dobby's Grave.

In the , she can be seen driving to the beach and walking across the stones before placing a stone on Dobby's Grave.

A caption over the video read: "Driving 230 miles to pay my respects".

In the comments, users described the beach as "beautiful" and one couple even got engaged during their visit.

The beach has been raved about by Holidaymakers on TripAdvisor too.

One person wrote: "This is such a beautiful beach, a real hidden gem. It was really clean and not too busy, which is great as you really got to enjoy the place and soak in the atmosphere.

"With the addition of Dobby’s Grave to visit, it’s a must for any Harry Potter fans out there."

While another added: "A beautiful wide sandy beach when the tide is out with great scenery at both ends of the beach."

It's also been hailed as a "surfer's paradise" by local travel guides.

Because it's southwesterly facing, it has some of the best waves in Pembrokeshire for those more experienced surfers.

Other watersports include windsurfing, canoeing, and sea angling.

When the tide is out, the beach has miles of golden sand and there are also stones on the beach that line the sand dunes.

Free parking and toilets are available for the public to use.

The beach is a 30-minute drive from the nearby holiday hotspot of Tenby in southwest Wales.

But this isn't the only UK seaside town where a Hollywood blockbuster has been filmed.
