Thanks to its pleasant weather, Corsica is a great destination to visit all year round.

However, summer might be the best time to visit if you're after a summer holiday that's not too far away.

Usually, temperatures see highs of 30C between May and September, while in the winter, the average temperature is around 12C.

That being said, the island has hundreds of days of sunshine throughout the year, so it is still a fabulous choice for a winter getaway.

Another must-see is the 'Calanques de Piana', which are ochre cliffs made of red rock with spectacular sea views.

The Calanques are situated in Piana, in the Gulf of Porto, between Ajaccio and Calvi.
