You can stay in an old Army tank in Cornwall – with a kitchen built inside
GUESTS can have a blast on their holidays by shelling out £86 a night to bed down in an old Army battle vehicle.
The 1952 armoured personnel carrier, named Sally, has been marketed on Airbnb as offering an “unforgettable escape”.
The host reveals online: “Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape.
“Sally is an old APC who now hosts great stays for guests in beautiful Cornwall. Only a five minute drive from St. Ives.
“Sally includes a basic kitchen and outdoor area to have campfires with an amazing view.
“The toilet and shower are nearby. We are located on a peaceful and quiet farm.

“Here we are surrounded by nature and our rescued farm animals.”
Would-be guests are told: “Please note that Sally is an old army vehicle and as such smells and looks like an old army vehicle. (We have tried to keep as much of her as original as possible.)”
The vehicle has proved a hit so far.
