A TINY UK island could become a holiday resort with hotels and other attractions.
The owner of Drake's Island has confirmed plans to build two hotels, a museum and a well-being centre on the island.
Drake's Island is situated just south of Plymouth in the Plymouth Sound and already welcomes tourists.
Day trippers heading onto the island can book a guided tour to learn about the island's history, wildlife and paranormal activities.
Morgan Phillips purchased the island in 2019, and had ambitious plans to turn the land into a holiday resort.
He told the : "Like most people in Plymouth, I've stood on Plymouth Hoe and various points around the Sound looking at Drake's Island thinking I'd really like to go out there and have a look at that and see what's on it.

"I actually had to buy it to do that."
While his dream resort conversion was thwarted by the coronavirus pandemic, the team were able to welcome holidaymakers onto the island for a grand day out.
In a recent interview, the businessman reaffirmed his desire to turn the island into a luxury resort.
According to the island's website, there will be a luxury wedding venue, a conference centre and an education centre.

The old barracks will also be converted into a budget hotel.
The states: "Our plans are centred around our committed desire to regenerate Drake’s Island and inject a new lease of life into the existing historic buildings.
"The beauty and heritage of the resort lends itself to a best-in-class development to take full advantage of its outstanding position.
The development isn't expected to be complete until 2027, and will cost around £22million to complete.
As reported by , councillor Richard Bingley has backed the plans.
He said: "It's fantastic to see these new uses coming forward and it has been the jewel in the crown, but it's been very much unexplored.
"I'm really glad now there's a set of initiatives there to attract people across and then hopefully we'll get a hotel or two over there in the longer term future."
Drake's Island isn't the only UK venue hoping to be overhauled in the coming years.
