Young people prefer seaside town in Kent to sun-drenched Ibiza – because it’s packed with ‘culture’, Tatler say
YOUNG sunseekers can get as much of a buzz from Margate as Ibiza, according to upmarket magazine Tatler.
The once quiet Kent seaside resort does not have any out-and-out nightclubs but is said to be crammed with culture.

Celeb residents include artist Tracey Emin, 59, model Olympia Campbell, 27, and Fresh Meat star Zawe Ashton, 38.
Tatler reckoned Margate is “comparable in its artistic sensibility — and reputation for a good night out”.
But surprised locals said they would still choose the Spanish party isle.
One insisted: “If I want a holiday where I can get a suntan and have a good time with my friends at a nightclub, I would not dream of staying in Margate.”
