One user commented: "I will NEVER understand this behaviour. Never!"

A second said: "I had to politely ask two young ladies not to apply nail polish as it was sticking out the cabin once."

Another replied: "Why can’t people just not do things with their feet on planes?"

A fourth agreed, saying: "What is it about plane trips that inspire some people to pick at their feet?"

And one Instagram user even claimed that the woman should be put on the "no fly list" for her actions.

While filing dead skin may be gross for everyone else on the flight, going bare foot on a plane is also a pretty unhygienic thing to do in general.

Flight attendant Beth Windsor told  it was one of the biggest mistakes you could make during a flight.

She explained that the floors are some of the dirtiest parts of the plane, and removing shoes and socks could lead to foot infections.

Beth said: "If the plane hits turbulence when you're in a small restroom, it can cause a mess that you probably don't want to step into, especially not with bare feet."

It comes as one woman was slammed after being caught giving herself a pedicure in the middle of the airport.

And another passenger was publicly shamed for filing her bare feet on a flight.
