Where is Horwood House?

The hotel is in a beautiful countryside setting in Milton Keynes.

It's so off-the-grid that public transport isn't that straightforward but there's masses of parking on site.

The outside of the hotel alone would make a jaw-dropping backdrop for a wedding photograph.

So it was no surprise there were FOUR weddings taking place either side of our one-night stay.

And there are plenty of rooms for all of those guests to lay their prosecco-sozzled heads - 165 in total.

There's a great spa with a superb pool, but the real bonus came when we took a stroll around the grounds at dusk.
