The best theme parks in the UK revealed – does your’s make the list?

THE BEST theme parks in the UK have been revealed, with the winners from all around the country.

Alton Towers, Thorpe Park and Drayton Manor were among those to emerge triumphant – does your’s make the list?

The 22 categories in the were decided by more than 200,000 public votes, combined with scores from expert judges.

Those rewarded at a ceremony held at Drayton Manor on September 22nd included Alton Towers who received the ‘Theme Park of the Year‘ gong.

Meanwhile Drayton Manor was decided as the ‘Best Value Theme Park’, and Sik at Flamingo Land was named ‘Best New Attraction.

This is the third year in which Brits were able to give their verdict on their favourite theme parks – as well as the best rides, attractions and events.

Some of the more niche categories they could choose between included ‘Best Steel Coaster’, ‘Best Wooden Coaster’ and ‘Best Mascot’.

The biggest winners at the awards included Alton Towers and Drayton Manor – with 11 and six awards respectively.

Others to be well-decorated included Blackpool Pleasure Beach – with seven – and Legoland which took home six prizes.

Other theme parks to be acknowledged multiple times were Paultons Park in Hampshire – home to Peppa Pig World, Chessington World of Adventures, Crealy in Devon and Adventure Island in Essex.

• Oakwood Theme Park, Pembrokeshire
• Pleasurewood Hills, Suffolk
• Sundown Adventureland, Nottinghamshire
• Twinlakes, Leicestershire
• Wicksteed Park, Northamptonshire
