Why you should always book a seat in the middle of the plane
A LOT of people think the front of the plane is the best place to sit but experts have said you should be sticking to the middle of the aircraft.
Not only can it stop you feeling sick, but it could be the safest place in an emergency.
Cabin crew member and writer Kristie Koerbel revealed why that is in for the New York Times, in which she explains the benefits of the middle of the aircraft.
She said: "Think of the airplane as a seesaw: The wing is the most stable part."
The centre row seats on planes might not only feel more stable, but might can actually be safer, according to statistical analysis.
Research done by the analysed 65 plane crashes and found which seats were safest, based on survival rates.

A middle row seat towards the back of a plane was found to be the safest, with a 28 per cent mortality rate - compared to seats further forward which had a mortality rate of 44 per cent.
An additional benefit to sitting in the middle, near the wings, is less travel sickness.
For those who feel unwell during flights, the greater stability provided by the centre of the plane could help settle a poorly stomach.
A spokesperson for experts agreed with the advice.

They said: “Air sickness is very common and with plenty of holidays still to come this year, it’s important that people can enjoy them fully without the added stress of feeling ill on the plane.
"Typically the middle, the wing and closer to the front of the plane are the best places to sit as this is where the journey feels most stable.
In addition to picking the right seats, Travel Lens also recommend consuming ginger before getting on a plane, with research suggesting it is beneficial for people who suffer with travel sickness.
They added: "Some studies have suggested that consuming ginger before heading off on a flight can help to stop feelings of nausea.
"Whether it's taken as a supplement, in raw form or even as a can of ginger beer, it’s definitely worth a try."
