I’m a pilot – I never fly without these three things
A PILOT has revealed the three things she always travels with when flying.
Christine Cancar, who also works as an optician, said she takes as many as six flights a weekend, both long and short haul.
One thing she protects, as an optician, is her eyes as they can dry out in the cabin.
She told : "The dry cabin atmosphere can make your eyes feel dry and uncomfortable, so I keep small single-use vials of hydrating eye drops to keep my eyes moist and in mint condition."
That's not the only thing she advises wearing, but also something to protect your skin, especially with masks still being mandatory on most airlines.
She continued: "I keep a tiny pot of aloe vera or Sudocrem to tackle blemishes and spots that appear as well as to soothe dry, itchy skin.
"This can sometimes be caused by wearing face masks."
Another flight attendant agrees about having medical stuff for a flight: "I keep my 'mini pharmacy' stocked with decongestant spray, Sudafed, allergy eye drops, allergy medicine, and basically anything else that you know that you’d want with you if you’re prone to something."
And finally, the footwear Christine wears has to look good - but she still skips the heels.
Christine said: "I also wear flat, supportive shoes for safety purposes.

"I suggest that passengers wear comfortable shoes and clothes on the plane [and] avoid wearing high heels."
A different pilot has revealed you should never take off your shoes during a flight - as the cabin floors are rarely cleaned.
You should ditch the flip flops too, for safety reasons.
Passengers often opt for sandals on planes, as they are much comfier than trainers when feet swell.
Tony Kuna, who used to work as as a member of the cabin crew, explained that it could cause problems if there is an emergency during a flight.

He wrote on Quora: “During an emergency, all sorts of debris and unpleasant ground surfaces will block your way towards the exit, as well as outside the aircraft.
“If your feet [aren’t] properly covered, you'll have a hard time making your way to safety."
