Full list of cancelled easyJet flights today

EASYJET has cancelled more flights from a number of UK airports today.

The low cost airline confirmed last week that they would be cancelling at least 40 flights a day due to staff shortages.

Today, around 55 easyjet flights have been affected, departing from airports across the country.

The most cancellations are to and from London Gatwick, although airports Luton, Stansted, Birmingham, Newcastle and Bristol have also all been affected.

European easyJet flights cancelled include destinations in Spain and Italy, while a number of domestic routes have also been affected.

The cancelled flights include:

The airline, which was among the worst hit by the cancellations chaos over half term, said it was pre-emptively scrapping flights to try and overcome staffing issues.

In a message to staff seen by , easyJet's chief operating officer Peter Bellew said: “Making these cancellations is not something we take lightly but what’s worse is to cancel our customers’ plans on the day that they are ready to fly."

It isn't just easyJet being forced to cancel flights - TUI is cancelling around six flights a day this month.

And British Airways has cancelled 16,000 flights between March and October, as well as scrapped some long haul routes until the end of the year.

Just a few days ago, easyJet pilots warned Brits to expect "frightening" disruption levels this summer, with more flight cancellations.

The cancellations over the last few weeks have seen passengers left thousands of pounds out of pocketstranded abroad and even sleeping on airport floors.

Queues have swelled in the departure halls of airports such as Manchester, Bristol and Gatwick as the nation's airports buckle under the strain of post-Covid travel.

Amidst the latest travel chaos, Martin Lewis' issued fresh advice to customers that they are due an alternative flight or full refund if their flights have been cancelled or delayed.

The amount you are due will depend on the length of time between cancellation, the date you were due to fly, and the distance you were due to travel - this can be from £220 to £520.
