Kids get fired up on trip to Warwick Castle to see their fave dragon – now you can get two free tickets

ZOG is a much-loved bedtime story in our house.

So my sons Ellis, seven, and six-year-old Theo, along with their dad Shahpour, couldn’t wait to visit Warwick Castle’s new children’s attractions based on the books.

At the world’s first immersive Zog Playland, the boys flew surprisingly fast on the winged zip wire, slid down dragons and explored crawl-tunnels while Zog played out on-screen inside.

We also met Princess Pearl before seeing her perform on stage at Zog Live.

Watching the outdoor show while sitting on colourful beanbags, Ellis roared with laughter at the characters’ antics.

“My favourite bit was when Zog kicked Sir Gadabout up the bum,” he said.

MIGHTY EAGLES

Continuing our adventure, we followed interactive 3-D trail Zog And The Quest For The Golden Star.

It featured five fun lessons from Madam Dragon’s school, as we collected stamps around the castle grounds to win the coveted prize.

We popped inside the castle’s Great Hall, marvelling at medieval weapons and impressive collections of armour.

After practising their sword-fighting skills at Knight School, the boys were rewarded with their golden star. Another highlight was the spectacular Falconer’s Quest.

We witnessed the sky fill with mighty eagles and condors as part of the UK’s largest birds-of-prey display.

Theo said: “It was exciting seeing the different birds — they swooped down right over my head.”
