As summer approaches, a blast of hot air from the south is forecast to drive up temperatures from mid-May onwards.

According to the Met Office, Britain might also be hotter than Ibiza this week. 

Temperatures could reach their hottest, at 21C, towards the end of the week, compared to the 19C in Ibiza. 

Brits should also enjoy a sunny Platinum Jubilee weekend Bank Holiday, thanks to a 'Spanish sizzler' set to bring temperatures of up to 30C during the four-day weekend.
