British Airways and easyJet cancel MORE flights today
BRITISH Airways and easyJet have cancelled more flights today on another day of travel chaos.
The airlines have been forced to cancel hundreds of flights in recent weeks due to staff shortages caused by Covid.
In total, BA has cancelled 74 flights today, the majority of which were pre-planned as the airline has reduced its summer schedule between now and the end of May to try and avoid travel problems.
Only two of the 74 were cancelled at the last minute.
One was due to staff shortages because of Covid, and the other was partly due to staff shortages and partly due to a problem with the plane.
BA's 74 cancelled flights today follow on from the 78 which were cancelled yesterday.

EasyJet has also cancelled flights today as it continues to suffer with a lack of staff.
According to , easyJet has cancelled 52 flights today from various UK airports, all of which were short-haul. Most of the cancellations were from Gatwick.
EasyJet has suffered huge disruption to flights over the past week, and cancelled around 100 flights on Monday - 62 of which were set to take off from the UK - and cancelled another 60 flights on Tuesday.

A spokesman for easyJet previously said: "As a result of the current high rates of Covid infections across Europe, like all businesses easyJet is experiencing higher than usual levels of employee sickness.
"We expect to make similar levels of pre-emptive cancellations over the coming days due to the ongoing high level of sickness."
Sun Online Travel has contacted easyJet for an additional comment.
Travel chaos is expected to continue this weekend, and cops are set to be drafted in to control frustrated passengers at airports.
