Where is Hotel Indigo Chester?
in the Roman city of Chester in the northwest of England, is close to all the action.
It's close to all the restaurants and shops and less than ten minutes' walking distance from Chester train station.
My only criticism is that there’s no parking on site and although the hotel provides discounts for spaces nearby, these were sometimes hard to find.

is just a 15-minute drive and a great day out for the kids.
History enthusiasts can step back into a bygone era as they wander around the Tudor-style buildings.
Or if you’re big into nature, walk along by the idyllic River Dee.
You're also about a 30-minute drive from the lively streets of Liverpool, renowned for having some of the best nightlife in the UK.
What is there to eat to and drink at Hotel Indigo Chester?
The ground floor is home to a vintage-style bar and is a meat lover’s paradise with a hearty menu of succulent steaks and venison, all displayed in a fridge that diners can choose from.
It’s not cheap – a steak alone, without any sides, is £30 – so if you’re after a more affordable option there are plenty of restaurants on Chester’s high street, a couple of minutes walk away.
What are the rooms like at Hotel Indigo Chester?
The rooms offer a perfect retreat for couples wanting to unwind.
We spent two nights in a lavish King Deluxe Suite with a balcony that has brilliant views across Chester, and a separate dressing area.
