Popular Disney attraction now closed until next YEAR

DISNEYLAND has closed one of their popular attractions until next year due to a huge renovation project.

Mickey’s Toontown, which has a number of rides and experiences for younger guests, will be closed at Disneyland California until 2023.

A large grass area with new experiences will be part of the land

The land has its own small rollercoaster, Gadget’s Go Coaster, as well as other small rides including Donald’s Boat, Minnie’s House and Goofy’s Playhouse.

However, Disneyland announced they would be closing the attraction to give it a huge makeover.

This includes a new open grass play area, with “a vibrant symphony of sights, sounds, and sensations”.

The rides Gadget’s Go Coaster, Goofy’s House and Donald’s Boat will also be “reimagined in new and exciting ways” according to the Disney website.

It continues: “Even with a greener and more spacious Mickey’s Toontown, the land will offer more play activities and attractions than ever before.

“From active play to tactile play, new experiences will let children play, slide, spin, splash, touch and listen!”

Rides including Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin, Mickey’s House and Minnie’s House will remain in place.

While an exact opening date hasn’t been given, it will open alongside Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, a new ride that has already opened at Disney World.

A new CenTOONial park will also open, with interactive play experiences.

There are lots of exciting new changes across many of the Disney parks this year.

Disneyland Paris is celebrating its 30th anniversary, with new shows, experiences and themed snacks and souvenirs.

Sleeping Beauty’s Castle has also reopened after it was closed for a year, following a huge makeover.
