Big change to your Haven holidays this summer – with entertainment, swimming and food all affected
HAVEN is introducing some big changes for summer holidays this year.
Since the pandemic, the holiday park operator has had a booking system in place where guests have to book slots to swim, do activities dine at the park's restaurants and book in for evening entertainment.
However, this year the park is relaxing its rules, meaning guests don't need to book ahead for a number of activities.
They have scrapped the booking system for anyone wanting to swim in either indoor or outdoor pools after 6pm.
They've also added thousands more slots pre-6pm, allowing guests to book up to 14 one-hour swim sessions during their stay, up to four weeks before their holiday is due to start.
This should make a big difference to guests, as the cap on pool numbers due to Covid had made it pretty difficult to get much time in the pool.
They've also changed the way guests can book into the daily and evening entertainment shows - guests can now just show up and present their Play Pass at the door, instead of having to book seats in advance.
Those wanting to take part in any of the activities, like football, paddleboarding and arts and crafts, can book up to four weeks in advance of their trip online or wait until their holiday - but be warned that some fill up pretty quickly.
Similarly, restaurants can be booked up to four weeks before your break or during your stay - reservations only need to be made for indoor dining, you can just show up for outdoor dining and you'll be seated.

Haven has recently renamed its two different holiday packages to provide extra clarity to people booking their trips.
Before Covid, a Haven break gave guests full access to all the facilities, but that was restricted when the pandemic hit and the company split stays in two - a holiday with full access to facilities, or to use the holiday home as a base to go out and explore the local area.
The holiday packages were called Stay and Stay+Play, but they have been renamed to make it easier for guests to choose exactly what they want from their trip.
Stay holiday breaks are now Haven Hideaways, which allows families to book accommodation with access to restaurants and cafés, while Stay+Play breaks are now Haven breaks, which includes extras such as pools and entertainment.
Meanwhile, Easter staycation bookings are booming again this year and Brits are warned that hotspots are selling out for summer.
