Beach holiday hotspot scraps mandatory quarantine rules for Brits this month
ANOTHER holiday hotspot has scrapped more of their Covid rules in time for the summer.
Bali will no longer require tourists to quarantine on arrival from March 14.
Currently, all arrivals who are vaccinated have to self-isolate for five days, although travellers who have had their booster only have to isolate for three days.
The new rules will no longer require the long quarantine period, Coordinating Minister for Maritime and Investment Affairs Luhut Binsar Panjaitan confirmed.
Fully vacciinated Brits will only need to wait at their hotel while they wait for their result of a PCR test, which takes a few hours.
He said: “If the tests show negative results, the international travellers are allowed to do other activities under health protocols.”
Arrivals will also have to have a test on the third day, as well as show proof of at least four nights booked at a hotel and eligible travel insurance.
The new rules will be a trial depending on how well Covid cases stay down.
If Covid cases remain low, it will then be rolled out across the rest of Indonesia.
There are some great cheap deals to the Indonesian island right now, with TUI package deals from £925pp and Virgin packages from £996pp while return flights to Bali can be found for £466.
Lots of holiday hotspots have been relaxing their Covid restrictions in recent weeks.
Spain has changed its entry requirements to allow some unvaccinated Brits to enter.
People who recovered from Covid within the last 180 days are now able to visit Spain, even if they’ve only had one of zero jabs.
Dubai no longer requires tests from vaccinated arrivals along with Italy and Cyprus.
