Caravans

Staying in a caravan is one of the best ways to save money and one of the cheapest deals we found was with Haven where a four-night break starts from just £49.

You’ll stay in one of the Saver caravans, which has room for four people, working out to be just over £3pp a night.

You can also stay in a Bronze caravan from £69 - as this has room for six people, it works out to be even cheaper at £2.88pp a night.

Lodges, chalets and cottages tend to be a little bit more expensive, but they’re generally much more spacious and comfortable than caravans.

Plus, as they have kitchens, you can save by cooking your own meals.

It’s worth bearing in mind that it usually works out cheaper per night if you stay for a full week and pick a bigger place to share.
