AN airline has revealed six ways to bag a cheaper flight - including the best time to book.
has shared some tips for passengers who are planning their next holiday and want to save some cash.
We've rounded up the top six to help you spend less money on travel so you have more to spend while you're abroad.
1. Best time to book
Last minute flights can often be cheap, as airlines drop their prices in a bid to fill empty seats.
However revealed that although flights can be cheap in the days leading up to departure, they are cheaper up to eight weeks in advance.
So if you know you're going to go abroad, book sooner rather than later if you want cheaper flights.
A spokesperson for the budget airline said: "It’s a common myth that waiting until the last minute to book a flight serves as a money saving exercise. Flights tend to increase in price the closer it gets to take off, especially if it’s receiving a lot of bookings.
"Booking up to eight weeks in advance is most likely to be the cheapest time to book."

2. Book on your own
When most groups head abroad, they will make one booking and put all their names on it, which often means you're sat with your family or friends onboard.
But that might not be the cheapest way to book your flights.
Wizz Air revealed that airlines charge more to seat groups together, so booking separately is a cheaper option.
A spokesperson said: "When several people are travelling together, searching flights as a group booking is likely to become expensive as the airline’s algorithm will automatically seat the party together.
"Booking seats separately may be time consuming, but its probable that it will serve as the most cost-effective method."
A frequent flyer has revealed how he and his wife always sit together on a plane - even when they book seats apart.
3. Switch currencies
It can often be cheaper to pay for your flight in the currency of your destination rather than in pounds.
This is more likely to work if the airline you're flying with is based and operates overseas.
A spokesperson for Wizz Air said: "Depending on the ‘strength’ of the currencies at the time, it may be worth booking your flight in the currency of your destination rather than your current one.
"Open two online tabs, one with the location set in your current destination and one with the location set to the destination that you are travelling to.
"Comparing prices, e.g. pounds v euros, can provide a substantial saving, especially if the airline is based and operates overseas."

4. Get a one-way ticket
We're not suggesting you go on holiday and never come back - just that it might be cheaper to get two individual tickets.
Making separate bookings instead of one return trip can be the cheapest way to do it.
A spokesperson for Wizz Air said: "This may not be the case 100 per cent of the time, but it's worth searching for one return and for two separate bookings when looking for the best deals."
5. Be flexible
It's no surprise that if you're flexible in your flight time, you can bag a cheaper journey.
Being able to fly across several days and at any time gives you the power to book the cheapest flight.
To save even more money, be prepared to change which airport your fly from and the airport your return to - that can save you even more cash.
6. Like and subscribe to an airline
Subscribing to an airline and getting regular emails puts you in the best position for bagging offers when they become available.
Likewise, liking an airline on social media means you'll see deals and competitions which could help you get cheaper flights.
A spokesman for Wizz Air said: "Be the first to hear about the airlines latest deals by following them on social media and subscribing to their newsletters.
"Many airlines reward their followers by offering them exclusive deals, giving them early access to sales and personalise discount codes."
