NO FLY LIST

The 10 worst airlines in the world – and TWO Brits make the list

THE WORST airlines in the world have been revealed – and it isn’t good news for two in the UK.

Both Ryanair and easyJet made the top 10, following the study.

Two UK airlines have made the list for being the worst airlines in the world

Conducted by luggage storage , the study analysed customer complaints, as well as seat comfort, inflight entertainment, food and baggage rules.

They said: “We all know how frustrating it can be to find yourself trapped in a cramped cabin without Wi-Fi or waiting in the departure lounge for hours with no plane in sight.

“That’s why we’ve analyzed the experiences of passengers as well as airline punctuality and maximum luggage allowance for both domestic and international airlines to see which airline leaves customers smiling.”

Ryanair came in fourth, while easyJet came in seventh, with neither airline offering free hand luggage in the cabin – the only two to not.

Ryanair customers must pay for priority boarding to take a suitcase into the cabin, or just have a small handbag or backpack, while easyJet scrapped their free hand luggage earlier this year, which previously let all standard passengers take a suitcase onboard with no weight restrictions.

Both airlines ranked fairly high for customer service, with 3 out of 5, while easyJet also had 3 out of 5 for seat comfort and meals.

However, it was the lack of inflight entertainment and baggage which dragged them down.

Sun Online Travel contacted Ryanair and easyJet for comment.

Thankfully they didn’t take the top spot for the worst airline in the world.

The worst airline in the world was Viva Air Colombia, ranking 1 out of 5 for all of the criteria, while Portuguese airline TAP had the most complaints over a six month period, with 1,430.

The study also revealed the best airlines in the world – and the highest-ranking UK airline was Virgin Atlantic, coming at 21.

Japanese airline All Nippon Airways came in top, with 4s across the board and the only 5 out of 5 for customer service.
