Fully vaccinated travellers with a negative PCR test result will no longer have to take a second test on arrival in Barbados or quarantine, effectively opening up travel to the island.
All arrivals must still fill in a Customs and Immigrations form 24 hours before travel, as well as download the BIMSafe app, while kids under 18 don't need to be vaccinated. Kids under five don't need to have any tests.
Vaccinated holidaymakers will be able to explore the island’s beaches and attractions without restriction, including highlights such as the spectacular Harrison’s Cave and Oisten’s Friday Night Fish Fry where you can dine and hang out with locals.
For travellers who prefer the fancy hotels of the west coast – home to the likes of Simon Cowell and Rihanna – Tropical Sky has all-inclusive stays at the beachside Crystal Cove resort this winter.
And further up the west coast in a prime spot next to Holetown, the small Mango Bay resort facing its own white sand beach will welcome you for a week’s all-inclusive stay with direct return flights.
