DUBAI holidays will be back next week in a major boost to influencers as the United Arab Emirates is flung back on the amber list.

The UAE was sensationally removed from the red list tonight as the Government announced a swathe of changes to holiday rules.

It will be joined by other Middle Eastern holiday hubs Qatar, Bahrain and India, where the Delta variant first emerged, in turning orange on Sunday.

The countries will move from red to amber at 4am on Sunday, August 8, after seeing a reduction in Covid cases.

And the changes will come as welcome news to Dubai-loving Brits who will no longer have to quarantine in a hotel when returning to England.

A number of social media stars flocked to the city during the UK's lockdown and taunted their cooped-up pals by posting sweltering pics from the sand.

But they were later mocked when they faced getting stranded in the UAE as the country's travel rules changed when cases exploded.

Anyone travelling back from the UAE and other amber list countries from August 8 will need to quarantine on their return if they have not been double jabbed.

They will have to quarantine for 10 days at home, as well as have a pre-arrival Covid test and another two on day two and day eight.

Brits who are fully jabbed can return from amber destinations without having to quarantine.

Kids under 18 travelling with double-jabbed parents will also be able to avoid the 10-day quarantine, while kids under 4 won't have to have any tests.

Austria, Germany, Slovenia, Slovakia, Latvia, Romania and Norway will all be added to the Government’s green list from 4am on Sunday.

The countries are believed to pose a "low risk" to UK public health and will mean anyone travelling to them will not have to quarantine on their return to England.

Georgia, La Reunion, Mayotte and Mexico will be added to the red list.

Transport Secretary Grant Shapps, who has been getting it in the neck from cabinet colleagues over the travel chaos said he continues to be “cautious” reopening travel.

He said: “We are committed to opening up international travel safely, taking advantage of the gains we’ve made through our successful vaccination programme, helping connect families, friends and businesses around the world.
