DRESS TO IMPRESS

A JetBlue flight attendant, who remained anonymous, told some of the best way to get extra perks when flying.

When asked what travellers can do to get the "VIP treatment," they said that how you dress won't get you into first class.

However, it can get you other perks in economy.

They said: "Presentation matters. Now I’m not saying you’ll get into Mint or a premium cabin on another airline simply for how you’re dressed. That’s a myth.

"However, you can control how you’re perceived and how you present yourself. Well-mannered passengers improve their odds at having the beverage cart stop a few extra times by their seat when thirsty."

PRESENTATION MATTERS

Another flight attendant said they often give out free drinks if you have any small problems on your seat.

Kat Kamalani, who works as a flight attendant in the US, explained: "This is the number one way that you can get a free drink on your next flight.

"So if you're sitting in your seat and your monitor or air conditioning or something is broken and we can't fix it, we have a little iPhone that we can give you free complimentary drinks to make up for that mishap."

One ting to never do? Take on your own booze, as it is illegal in the UK.

Try to avoid ordering a Coke too, as many flight attendants have said they are the most annoying drinks to serve due to the higher fizz caused by the cabin pressure, taking the longest to pour.

Here are some of the fanciest bars on planes, ranging from cocktail lounges on Virgin to Etihad's "lobbies".
