WITH loads of sandy beaches and great pubs, Norfolk is a popular choice for a UK break.

And it seems its popularity is very much on the rise for holidays this summer, with searches for the county surging 300 per cent in recent months.

You're never far from the water in Norfolk, which packs in long beaches and waterways - all of which are dotted with pretty flint houses.

It's a great place to visit for nature lovers who can roam the Norfolk Broads or spot birds at the seaside.

But there's also the option to experience the bustle of a city, with Norwich having a beautiful cathedral, lively market and boutique shops.

Adults will love Thorpe Forest, where cabins come with a hot tub as standard.

The park is based in woodland on the banks of the River Thet, close to where the Norfolk and Suffolk borders meet, so there's lots to see and do in the area including visiting Wells-Next-The-Sea, , Bury St Edmunds the Norfolk Broads, Great Yarmouth and spotting seals at Blakeney Point.

This popular Haven park gives guests direct beach access, making it ideal for a seaside staycation.

On-site there are two pools (one comes with water slides) and palm tree fountains plus a family amusement centre. There are great food options too, including a fish & chip takeaway, plus a modern entertainment venue.

A short drive from the park is Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park and there's also the opportunity to hire a boat to explore the Norfolk Broads.

This Haven site is their only woodland park, so there's lots of nature activities but it's also right by the beach.

The sports court is a great place to work up an appetite before enjoying lunch at on-site The Boathouse Tavern, or if you're feeling more relaxed - stroll to the sandy shingle beach, just 200 metres away.
