Cheap UK holidays in April & May – now that staycations can start in the spring

SELF-CONTAINED holiday lets can be booked for those staying with their own household from April 12.

Interest is expected to surge in self-contained breaks following the announcement, with pent up demand from millions of Brits who've been banned from all travel since the beginning of the year.

From April 12 people from the same household will be able to book self-contained holiday lets such as holiday homes.

From May 17, hotels are allowed to reopen and holiday homes can be let to groups of up to six people from different households or groups from two households with no cap on size.

From June 21, holiday homes can be let to groups of all sizes.

Trips have been banned in all parts of the country since January 4, when the country went into a third national lockdown.
