A former railway headquarters built in 1906, reopened as a 207-room spa hotel in 2010.

Take a walk around the walls for great views before joining sightseers thronging down the Shambles.
The cobbled street's quirky overhanging buildings date back to the 14th century and are said to have provided inspiration for Diagon Alley in the Harry Potter films.
A 45-minute cruise down the Ouse should also be on your to-do list, following a route that brought in Romans and Vikings.
Back at the hotel, unwind in the hotel’s luxury spa with a 14 metre swimming pool and steam rooms.

Rooms range from classic doubles to spacious penthouse suites with sweeping views of the city.
Our Classic Double had bags of space for two, with floor-to-ceiling windows giving a view of York Minster.
You won't go short of comfort thanks to the king-size bed, super fluffy bathrobes and underfloor heating in the bathroom - toasty!
